Ultreya is the monthly gathering of people who have attended a Cursillo Weekend. Ultreya is a Spanish word which means "Keep on Going!" or "Onward." The theme for all Ultreyas is "transforming the world for Christ."

Rather than being Cursillo centered, the Ultreya is Christ centered and concentrates on Jesus working within each of us to bring the world to Him.

Almighty and everlasting God, who fulfilled the promises of Easter by sending us your Holy Spirit and opening to every race and nation the way of life eternal, keep us in the unity of your Spirit, that every tongue may tell of your glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen

Speaker: Healing in Haiti; Gillian Power

Location: Area Improvement Association Hall (lower level), 6485 Hwy 3, Western Shore, NS

Gillian (Jill) is a Nurse Practitioner. She first went on a mission trip to Haiti in 2013 and fell in love with the country and its people. She has been back to Haiti 4 more times with various groups, working as a nurse, but also building furniture, celebrating Christmas and New Years with the children, and receiving more love than she can ever imagine. She returns home with her cup overflowing. Her presentation will focus on how she received her calling to go, the health status of the Haitian people, and the impact Haiti has had on her life with personal healing and a new trajectory, guided by the loving force of God.
